Ask any student or graduate from Universiti Putra Malaysia and they will tell you all about the ‘Serdang Spirit’. It is about making friends, studying hard and playing hard, and knowing you are at a University where you truly matter and feel you belong.

Your relationship with the UPM community does not end upon graduation. UPM graduates are welcome to join the UPM Alumni Association, which is dedicated to strengthening the bonds of friendship and networks from a variety of expertise. In fact, many members of the UPM Alumni have been appointed as ambassadors at large for their contributions in their fields, and they have left a big impact on society and the nation and enhanced the university’s reputation at the international level.

Since 1971, the UPM Alumni list has grown to an impressive list of 145,000 people - not only in Malaysia but from all over the world, including Australia, Iran, France, Myanmar and Saudi Arabia. Armed with a desire to foster fraternity with their Alma mater, UPM Alumni have managed to share great ideas and speak critically for the development of a dynamic university in the realisation of our vision and mission.

The services provided within the University is an integrated units of infrastructures designed to enhance the delivery of services and support programmes that assists the University’s educational mission and significantly enhance the quality of life in campus.

To register as a vendor for Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), follow these steps:

Access MyVendor UPM Portal

Visit the official website: https://www.myvendor.upm.edu.my

Create an Account

Click on the "Register Account" or "Sign Up" button.
Enter the required information, such as company name, company registration number, and other details.

Upload Supporting Documents

Prepare the following documents:

Copy of company registration (SSM).
Copy of Ministry of Finance license (if applicable).
Other documents as specified in the registration guide.

Upload the documents to the registration portal.

Make Payment (If Required)

Ensure any applicable fees are paid as instructed.
Upload the payment receipt in the "Manual Payment List" section.

Submit the Application

Ensure all information and documents are complete before submitting the application.

Review and Confirmation

UPM will review applications that are complete and include a payment receipt.
You will be contacted via email or through the portal if additional information is needed.

One of the main roles of university students is to raise awareness about the importance of cultural heritage among society. They can organize programs such as cultural festivals, art exhibitions, and traditional workshops on campus to attract the interest of their peers. In addition, students can also utilize digital platforms such as social media to promote traditional culture in creative and engaging ways. This approach not only helps to expand the dissemination of information but also makes traditional culture more relevant in modern life.

PUTRA NAHWAN BRINGS HONOR TO UPM, HIGHLIGHTS STUDENT CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT THROUGH NASHEED ART

Universiti Putra Malaysiaâ€™s (UPM) nasheed group, Putra Nahwan, achieved a remarkable milestone after being crowned overall champion at the Malam Irama Nasyid Majlis Kebudayaan Universiti-Universiti Malaysia (MAKUM) 2026, further elevating the universityâ€™s name on the national stage. The competition, held in Penang, brought together top nasheed groups from public universities nationwide. It was organized by Universiti Sains Malaysia under MAKUM with support from the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE). While Putra Nahwan emerged as champion, second place was secured by Insof from Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), followed by Intracksee from Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) in third place. Head of the Arts, Culture and Heritage Empowerment Section at UPMâ€™s Student Affairs Division, Mr. Nik Mohamad Ridhwan, said the achievement represents more than just a competition victory. It reflects the universityâ€™s success in nurturing students with strong identity, leadership qualities, and a balance between academic excellence and co-curricular involvement. He noted that nasheed art holds a unique position within the student development ecosystem, as it not only cultivates talent and teamwork discipline but also serves as a medium for value-based education, dakwah (Islamic outreach), and character building among students.
