September 28, 2019, Bintulu Sarawak - The UPM Serdang Contest holds history for the first time in the Islamic Arts Festival 2019 (IFest2019). UPM Serdang has won the Open Category Nasyid Competition Winner through the PutraNahwan Team, the IPT Category Nasyid Competition Awarded by the PutriNahwan Team and Johan Tilawah Al-Quran (Qariah), the Sofea Salim Brother of K10.

 

 

Meanwhile, Brother Zainul Luqman Zainul Ikhwan of K12 won the Third Qur'an (Qari). All of them managed to bring home a cash prize of RM2400, a trophy and a certificate of participation.

 

The program organized by Universiti Putra Malaysia Sarawak Bintulu Campus was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports Sarawak which lasted for 6 days from 23 to 28 September 2019. Various competitions were held including the Quran, Archery, Calligraphy Competition Khat, Contemporary Nasyid Contests and Lectures.

 

In addition, the Prime Forum was also held as one of the chairmen at the Closing Ceremony which was held on September 28, 2019. Among the invited panel of the Prime Forum was Prof. Dato 'Dr. Taufiq Yap Yun Hin (UMS Vice-Chancellor) and Ustaz Elias Ismail, while the Inviting Moderator was Azman's Triggers (PU)
