SERDANG, JUNE 27 - The Mobility Programme, Montreal’s Ramadan Charity Visit     with Sister Sabariah and Sabria Foundation to Canada was conducted from June 2, 2018 until June 12, 2018. A total of four students and an officer participated in the programme.

The programme was carried out to inspire and enhance soft skills and the volunteerism spirit amongst students. The programme aimed at enhancing the students’ leadership skills and understanding of the sociology of foreign communities apart from allowing them to play an important role as ambassadors to promote Malaysian culture.  

The programme also aimed at establishing a volunteer centre which will also act as a development centre for UPM “asnaf” (group of people worthy of receiving a Muslim tithe). The programme also helped the less fortunate in Montreal, in line with UPM’s motto, "Berilmu Berbakti” (With Knowledge We Serve).Volunteers involved helped Sister Sabariah to prepare food to be distributed to the homeless in Montreal during the month of Ramadan so that it could benefit the needy.
